Mega Sale Carnival

complexes and retail outlets around the country taking part in the August
Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival, expect truckloads of bargains and discounts
on items ranging from designer labels, foot wear and cosmetics to electrical
goods, children’s clothes and household items. Participating hotels and
restaurants are also offering fantastic room rates and concessions on
food and beverages. This is indeed the time to take the whole family for
that much needed holiday and while you’re at it, shop for some souvenirs
and gifts to take home with you.
 The Mega Sale Carnival kicks-off on 4th
August 2001 at Kuala Lumpur’s Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman (Jalan TAR) between
the SOGO Department Store and the Pertama Complex. The road has been chosen
as the venue for the launch due to its historic significance as a once-favoured
shopping district. Saluting this popular thoroughfare will bring back
the sparkle and excitement of shopping at Batu Road, as it was formerly
known.

extravaganza which will sizzle from 5.00 p.m. onwards. There is something
for everyone – street buskers, sky dancers, clowns and giant inflatable
interactive Games for the children. More excitement follows after dark
at 9.30 p.m. with a huge fashion gala featuring designs by leading Malaysian
designers including Kirana, Salikin Sidek, Zhang Toi, Bernard Chandran
and Bill Keith plus performances by top local artistes.
